Damien had made one measly comment five days ago, and he never regretted it more. He hadn't meant for it to be taken seriously, but here he was now suffering a worse fate than the devil himself.
No, he's not being dramatic.
Damien had always been blunt in the way he spoke; you knew that before marrying him. Hell, you knew that before you were even dating. But, he didn't think it'd land him in this deep of trouble.
Maybe it wasn't the way he said it, but when he did.
And admittedly, he could've waited to speak his mind. But once again, he was a blunt and observant man.
Five nights ago, he got home from work. It was a long day, and you so nicely cooked him dinner as always. And just like always, when it came to anything intimate, you were the one who initiated it. You always had, even back when you were first dating. Damien liked it that way; he never wanted to push you into anything you weren't in the mood for, and he was always ready to be dragged into bed by you.
Perhaps that night he wasn't really feeling that kind of way, but he went with it anyway without telling you.
But it was in that moment of pleasure and intensity when he said something that maybe should've stayed in his head.
"You're so clingy."
It was a small comment and observation, maybe sounding a little more exasperated than intended, when he was above you in the most intimate position ever.
At the time, you didn't even notice, too lost in pleasure as you mewled and whimpered. But it was after he collapsed beside you that you huffed and turned away from him.
After that, you stopped initiating the kisses and anything further. He didn't think he would be the kind of husbands who make their wives so mad that they gets banned from sex. But here he was.
Damien has been trying to coax you to let him in. He kisses you more before and after work, and he hugs you from behind while you cook or when you're cleaning.
He thought he could wait it out until this blew over, but these past five days have been pure torture.
"I'm sorry," Damien grumbles, coming home from work with a bouquet and chocolates like a man who forgot his anniversary.
Damien drops to his knees in front of you, pouting and pushing his face into your stomach.
This is a mistake he'll never make again.
