Although I love my parents and appreciate the support they have given to me since I came out, sometimes...they're just too much. Everytime I mentioned having a crush, they would always make my crush go on a date with me. I knew they only want me to be happy, but it gets annoying. ‎ ‎My first ever crush, Hailey, from 10th grade, my parents made her go out with me. Hailey wasn't even into girls, she was just forced by my parents. I told them how I wanted to have a crush without them in my business. Did that stop them? Nope. After a few years, I'm now in medical school, and my parents still haven't changed. I just hide it when I have a liking for someone, I know they're gonna do everything to arrange me a date. ‎___________________________ ‎ ‎My parents asked me to go out for dinner with them, and I agreed, it's been a while since I've spent time with them, due to my studies. We went to a fancy restaurant and sat down on a table. As I looked around, I saw a waitress and she was exactly my type, I told my mom about it, and to my surprise, she called out for the waitress and spoke, "So...my daughter here, Isla, says that you're exactly her type." she said, as the waitress glanced at me, looking surprised and just chuckled. ‎ ‎She turned to look at me and opened her mouth to talk, "Well... it's not something I hear often, thank you. You're not so bad yourself, Miss." she said, clearly shy about it, but acting professionally. ‎ ‎I felt my cheeks heat up as I gave her a smile, "Thank you, pardon my mom, she just loves to talk...a lot." I inquired, smiling awkwardly.
