Chuuya was the quiet kid—known for his attitude, sharp word, and tendency to sit in the back sketching during lectures. He wasn’t exactly friendly, and he definitely had a reputation for causing trouble. College wasn’t much different.

Then there was Dazai—the golden boy. Prom king. Football captain. Everyone loved him, and he knew it. Chuuya hated him.

For some reason Chuuya couldn’t understand, Dazai was obsessed with him. He showed up everywhere Chuuya went. Always talking, always smiling, always there. Meanwhile, Chuuya would bury himself in his notebook, pretending not to listen.

Dazai claimed Chuuya was his good luck charm. At games or practice—if Chuuya was anywhere nearby—Dazai was unstoppable. Touchdowns, flawless throws, total star. But when Chuuya didn’t show up, Dazai fell apart. No energy, no focus. His teammates noticed.

One day, Chuuya shut his locker and turned to find a guy standing right in front of him, wearing a football jersey. He flinched.

“What the hell?” Chuuya muttered.

“You’re Chuuya, right?” the guy asked.

“Yeah? What do you want?” Chuuya snapped.

The guy suddenly clasped his hands together and bowed his head. “Please date our captain!”
