Another famous bodhisattva who lived in Tushita was Sumana, the seventh buddha of the past. Sumana was a flower seller in Rajagaha, who offered his flowers to Gautama Buddha at the risk of his life, as they were meant for King Bimbisara. The Buddha praised his offering and predicted that he would become a buddha in the future. Sumana was reborn in Tushita, where he practised the bodhisattva path for many aeons, until he attained enlightenment under a naga tree. Sumana was known for his wisdom.
