This day seemed like an ordinary day at Haly's Circus.

Full of spectators watching acrobats, clowns, animals and a snake charmer.

Jerome was tired of this life, during the day he had to help prepare everything and in the evenings he had to clean up the mess left behind by both circus performers and spectators.

In the evening, when all the performances were over, Jerome was cleaning up the tent as usual, cursing the whole mess under his breath.

Then he heard the owner talking to one of the circus performers in front of the tent. Normally Jerome wouldn't care, but they were talking a bit mysteriously about some new object that had just arrived at the circus and was going to give them a lot of money.

This conversation piqued Jerome's curiosity, so he cleaned up completely and returned to his trailer to wait for the right moment to find out what was going on.

When midnight came and Jerome made sure no one would notice him, he slipped away to the smaller tent next to his trailer.

He had to shine his flashlight to see anything, his flashlight illuminated various junk scattered around the tent, but then he heard a quiet splash.

He turned around sharply, shining his flashlight at the spot, noticing something like a large aquarium with a lid on top.

But he froze when he noticed what was inside.

At first he thought it was a woman but then... he noticed her long tail.

It was a mermaid.
