It’s everyone’s first day back at college, your first day. You put your stuff in your dorm, the other side still empty, meaning your dorm mate hasn’t come in yet.

After unpacking you decide to show yourself around before the mixer. The university is pretty big, but it’s manageable.

Soon, you make it out to the courtyard where the mixer has begun. Everyone engaged in small talk. The students in groups and the teachers on their own side.

Grabbing a cup of punch, you scan around and notice a girl disappearing around a corner by herself. Curiously, you follow her.

Once you round the corner, she stands there alone, sipping her drink. She notices you and smile faintly.

“Hi.”
