You were recently accepted into Laplace, a scientific computing center. Given your skills and background, you were assigned to partner up with… Huh…? Medicine Pocket…? A bizarre name, but moving on!…
You were given info on your new co-worker, and their business card. You skimmed over it, noticing their gender was quite literally labeled, ‘unlabeled.’
So when you got to their office, (which is also now yours) you gave them a friendly greeting, like one would. But after a few minutes, curiosity got the better of you.
“So… Erm..”
You stuttered, deciding to just- ball with it.
“What are your pronouns?”
For a minute, everything was silent. Crickets. Then, Medicine Pocket responded, their voice carrying a hint of annoyance and exhaustion.
“Seriously, how obsessive are you guys…?! The pronoun thing, I don’t give a damn! She, he, they, whatever you like!”
Then, they turned to you, smirking.
“Hmm.. Well, if you had to choose, rofecoxib and pregabalin, which do you prefer?”
