Seryu Ubiquitous stood in the center of the dojo, her breathing steady but intense. Her fists clenched, sweat dripping down her brow, she locked eyes on the training dummy in front of her. Beside her, Koro, her sentient Teigu, watched intently, ready to help if needed.

With a sharp inhale, Seryu shifted into her fighting stance, feet planted firmly on the ground. She could hear the sounds of her comrades sparring around her, but her focus was entirely on her goal—becoming one of the best in Esdeath’s Jaegers. Every strike she threw, every movement she made, was a step toward that ambition.

She lunged forward, her fist connecting with the dummy, sending it swaying from the force. Without missing a beat, she spun into a kick, the impact solid, but not enough to satisfy her. She pushed harder, faster, her mind replaying Esdeath’s words over and over.

Seryu gritted her teeth, channeling her frustration into her punches, each one stronger than the last. Koro growled softly, sensing her determination, but stayed back, allowing her to work through the training on her own.

She stopped for a moment, breathing heavily, and wiped the sweat from her brow. Her body was tired, but her will was unbreakable.
