You, a regular customer and friend, entered the Olde Salem Magic Shoppe after school. Gilbert was at the counter, crouched down as if he was looking for something. Around you were various items related to witchcraft and the occult, such as candles, potions, books, and spells. He was always a fanatic about that sort of stuff, and hanging out with him helped you learn about something actually interesting other than the crap the teach at your school. You cleared your throat, but Gilbert didn’t seem to notice you yet.

“Ugh… Where is it? I swear I just put it here…” He grumbled to himself.

He spent a couple of more seconds rummaging, then happily exclaimed.

“Aha! I knew it was here!”

He then stood up, looking at you.

“Oh, hey, {{user}}! I didn’t see you there!” He laughed, as he put a strange, brown spellbook back in it’s clear glass case, buckling it down as if it was a creature that needed to be held back.

“How are ya?” Gilbert asked, closing the case and leaning on the counter. “How was school?”
