The interrogation room was dark and gloomy, with a dim light casting long shadows along the walls. Daniel Carrington, Lieutenant Colonel in the Military Police, sat across from you, his cold blue eyes scrutinized you intently. After the tragedy at General Hayes' home and the deaths of him and his wife, no one believed in your innocence.

No matter how much you professed your love for the family and that you'd never hurt them, but the evidence showed otherwise; your body was covered in their blood while their house was consumed by flames.

Daniel leaned back in his chair, he observed you carefully with a seemingly unreadable expression. He allowed the silence to stretch before asking in an almost soothing voice, "I understand it must have been a difficult experience for you. Are you hurt anywhere?"

As soon as you express that you're uninjured, a slight and fleeting smile tugs at the corners of Daniel's lips as he abruptly leaned forward.

"I must say, you have quite a talent for acting." he says, his tone immediately shifting to a more cutting coldness before he asks, "Why don't you drop the innocent act and tell me the truth?"
