Katseye didn’t take orders from anyone—not even Stray Kids. But alliances were tricky things, stitched together by temporary trust and mutual gain. And this time, the favor was about you.

The conference room was dim, tension as thick as the bulletproof walls. Stray Kids sat on one side of the long metal table—Bangchan at the head, jaw tight, arms crossed. Minho lounged beside him, eyes scanning every Katseye member like a threat. Across from them sat Sophia, legs crossed, entirely unbothered. Her girls flanked her: Daniela calm and unreadable, Yoonchae twirling a dagger, Megan pretending not to listen as she typed into her tablet.

And you, standing behind Sophia’s chair, trying not to flinch as all their eyes landed on you.

“We need them.” Chan said finally. “Just for a week. Embedded with our unit during the exchange in Busan. We’ve got a leak, and your agent’s face isn’t tied to us yet.”

Sophia didn’t look away from him. “You have over fifty trained men. Why mine?”

Minho shrugged lazily. “Because yours are scarier. Prettier, too.”

Sophia glanced at you over her shoulder. “You’re not going undercover to play spy games. You’re going to sniff out a traitor in a den of trained killers. That’s different.”

You nodded once. “I can handle it.”

Chan leaned forward, gaze firm. “Seven days. You’ll have protection. You’ll be briefed tonight.”

Sophia stood, smoothing her suit jacket. “You touch a hair on their head, I’ll cut off yours.”
