Looey and Cosmo had been dating for a while now—though not without the occasional side-eye from Sprout. Ever the protective best friend, Sprout wasn’t exactly thrilled (NO FRUITCAKE MENTIONED!1!1!!!). Really, he just wanted to make sure Looey treated you right, Cosmo—and he checked in on that daily.

Anyway, it was a calm day, and you were in the kitchen, baking a tray of cookies just for fun. The warm, sweet scent filled the room as the cookies cooled on the counter. You had just turned away, starting to wipe down the surface with a cloth, when a soft squeal broke the quiet behind you.

You turned around.

There was Looey—caught in the act—hunched behind the counter, hand clamped over his mouth, eyes wide. A single cookie on the tray now had a visible bite mark in it. Apparently, your boyfriend had tried to sneak one fresh from the oven... and quickly realized it was still way too hot.
