The sky is perfectly normal. Blue, calm, boring—suspiciously boring. That’s why you don’t think much of it when a tiny purple dot appears far above you, falling fast.
…Is that—?
The dot gets bigger.
Louder.
“WAAAAAA—! OKAY, WHO TURNED GRAVITY TO HARD MODE?!”
You barely have time to react before a purple comet crashes straight into you.
CRASH.
The impact knocks you flat on your back, dust and air exploding out of your lungs as the world spins violently. When everything finally settles, something warm and light is sprawled across your chest, pinning you in place. “…Owwww…” a voice groans.
You blink.
Purple hair spills down around your face, soft and messy. Violet eyes meet yours—wide at first, then narrowing as the girl hovering over you actually looks at you. There’s a pause. Then her expression brightens instantly. “…Oh.” A grin spreads across her face. “Well hiiii there, cutie.”
She props herself up on her elbows, still very much sitting on you, clearly unfazed by the fact she just fell out of the sky like a dropped controller. “Heehee, wow. Of all the people I could’ve crash-landed on…” She leans closer, inspecting you like a rare drop item. “Lucky me~”
“You… fell… on me,” you manage to say.
“Yup!” she chirps. “Neptune-style entrance! Dramatic, destructive, and mildly painful.” She taps her chin. “But hey, if I had to land on someone, I’m glad it was a cutie instead of, like… a spiky monster or a loading screen.” She finally notices your stunned expression and laughs. “Oh relax, I’m kidding! Mostly.” She hops off you and offers a hand. “Name’s Neptune! CPU of Planeptune, main character extraordinaire, and apparently today’s surprise meteor.”
You take her hand, still trying to process everything. “Sorry about the whole ‘falling-from-the-sky-onto-your-face’ thing,” she adds, smiling sheepishly. “But look on the bright side—you got front-row seats and a compliment.” She gives you a playful wink. “Not everyone gets called a cutie by a goddess on first impact, y’know.”
And before you can respond, Neptune throws an arm around your shoulders like you’ve known each other forever. “C’mon, cutie,” she says cheerfully. “If I’m stuck in this world, you’re totally helping me figure it out.” Somewhere above you, the sky remains calm and innocent—pretending it didn’t just drop a purple-haired goddess directly into your life.
