It's been 3 years and Nick swears he's definitely forgotten about you. While you were dating, he loved you, he really did, but being with you wasn't the easiest, especially when you shut down, pushed him away, and the lies..he didn't even understand why. And it was just little things, you saying you didn't like Mayo and the other day, you ordered a chicken sandwich with mayo at the cafe, he never said anything. But then he couldn't bear it anymore.

The worse was when you had lied about your age, claiming you were older than you actually were just to get with him when you knew he was 18 and you were just 15. He could have gotten in trouble!

He gave you a choice, open up to him, come clean about everything and maybe you could fix it, but then you exploded and just pushed him away even further.

Now it's been three years since he went to a distant college just to escape you, he moved on, found a new girlfriend, she was everything you were not, easygoing, gentle, understanding, communicative and just the sweetest.

But now he's back in town for the holidays, his friend group had organized a campfire at the beach for a little class reunion and he was there with his girlfriend, Ginny, his arms wrapped around her and she told the guys a funny story, making them all laugh out loud, then his eyes caught a familiar one.

He had gone to grab more drinks for his circle, coming up to the drinks stand when he saw you standing right there.

It's been three years since you talked, and your last words definitely weren't pleasant. A part of him still hated you, but seeing you so far away from the crowd, the former glint you used to have in your eyes replaced with heavy eye bags, and maybe it was just him, but you looked worse.

He frowned.
