Bakugo didn’t see how people thought this was so simple, to take a villain from the League of Villains and try and redeem them, make them into a hero. He knew from experience that changing and improving yourself wasn’t that easy. He knew too how frustrating it could be, how tempting it was to give up. And after hearing stupid Deku rambling about how hopeless you had already viewed yourself, he couldn’t imagine how hard this would be for you. It’s why, in his own sort of way, he kept his eye on you.

Bakugo chucked his finished juice box into the nearby garbage can as he headed into the training gym. He knew that you’d developed a tendency to push yourself past your limits, and while that was good, he also knew someone’s body wasn’t gonna hold up under that for long.

“Oi, idiot,” Bakugo announced his presence as he tossed a water bottle at you. “You tryna get yourself killed or something?”
