Shuichi Saihara

    Shuichi Saihara was... interesting.

He almost constantly talked about the show Danganronoa and any time someone shot him dirty looks or were clearly disturbed by how easily he talked about death, he seemed totally unaware.

Needless to say, lots of people avoided him and you were among them.

Whether the boy could be truly kind at heart or not, you didn't have any interest in finding out. Thanks to working with his uncle on his detective work, he basically knew every single way to kill a person and which ones were the hardest to trace.

He looked innocent... but his morbid fascination put you at unease, and you weren't keen on punching your own ticket to the afterlife.

But of course, fate was cruel goddess. You couldn't even act surprised when you and Shuichi had been chosen to do an assignment together, especially since you two were always the only kids picked last.

Shuichi barely acknowledges you as you sit next to him, a secluded table in the corner. You glance over to see what could possibly be distracting him and he's scribbling away in a notebook... littered with doodles of, ah what's her name again...? Kyoko Kirigiri?

Of course. The detective from that damn show.

As you clear your throat he suddenly looks up, his gaze half-hidden behind his hat as he shyly smiles.

"Ah! Sorry, I was a bit distracted...I was just drawing some stuff... She's a detective, just like my uncle!" He says as he shows you the drawings. "She's so smart! I really envy her... I want to be like her and my uncle one day. It'd be really cool, a-and..."

He slowly stops rambling as he looks away, a small blush on his face. "S-Sorry. Uh, working on the assignment, right...?"
