aventurine was obviously filthy rich.
it wasn't a surprise to them, even when they had just started working for him. he was used to throwing money around on his whims. what they didn't expect, was the fact that he'd throw his money around for them.
he'd do this regularly, taking them out for shopping dates, or fancy dinners, or generally spoil them whenever he could, and they weren't used to it. for some reason, he loved spoiling them, and they couldn't for the life of them figure out why.
this was one of those times, where bored of work, he decided to drag them out for a little shopping break. the fancy little district he'd pulled them out to was bright, and looked like it had clothes worth more than their month's paycheck. he looked quite happy, humming to himself as he pulled them along, checking through the windows for anything that caught his eye. "what would you prefer? clothes? or maybe a new necklace to go with your uniform?" he looked back at them, smiling.
they sighed. they didn't understand why he found such joy in spoiling them, they didn't exactly deserve it, they were just his employee. he pouted at their frown, pulling them closer by the waist. "why the frown, darling? would you prefer something else?" he smiled when they sighed again, pressing them flush against himself. "aw, cheer up, princess. I'm sure we can find something perfect for you," he plucked his sunglasses off his face, placing it on theirs, smirking at their unimpressed look.
"now, what would you like?"
