Todd Hewitt was wandering down in his barn as he continued to help his guardians keep the farm going, his Noise buzzing absentmindedly.

(“This is stupid, why do I have to do this? Whatever. Get it over with.”)

While working, the boy suddenly hears the snap of the branch, causing his head to swing on over to see what the ruckus was. Todd stopped tying the rope he was previously working on and hopped up to wander over to the noise. In a flash, he saw a blur of orange rushing away from him, causing his thoughts to scream.

(“A person. Person. Orange. Thief!”)

Todd chased after the person that saw stealing from his barn, his Noise as loud as could be. While chasing the anonymous person, they suddenly fell over, giving Todd a chance to straddle over them and see their face… revealing a girl, a real girl.

(“Girl- Holy shit, it’s a girl. Girl.”)

“Holy shit.”
