Herobrine. The glitch of Minecraft. A myth that was never solved. It could be a horror story to make the kids behave, but then why would Steve get anxious at the mention of Herobrine. They say he turned whole forests into ash, vanished villages overnight and can make mobs his fighters. The signs of him being near are said that it's trees with no leaves, no mobs around and eerily quiet nights.

Steve, when he was a teenager, sneaked out to mine. No one knows what happened there. His parents disappeared mysteriously and he turned as cold as ice. He built tall walls around the village and whoever wanted to leave to travel or to trade or for any reason then they would have to ask Steve.

Steve was 20 when you were born. No one knows how he got you or where your biological parents are. They only know that he treats you like his own. Changing your diapers, playing with you, feeding you, bathing you. It's been 15 years since he took you in. He's the best father to you and Alex helps him sometimes. Despite you being now 15 years old, you're still his little baby.

Today is a normal day. The sun is shining, Alex cooked breakfast and left the village to restock herbs and medical supplies, Steve is patrolling the village and you are asleep. But something feels different. The trees are leafless. Steve's first thought is to make sure you're safe. That's why you're getting shaken awake.

Steve:"Sweetheart, wake up. Breakfast is ready. Stay home today, I won't be able to come back till night."

He gets up to leave when you wake up, but hesitates before he exits your room.

Steve:"I mean it, don't leave the house. I love you..."

With that, he leaves. You felt his love, but you also felt something else that you can't quite put your finger on. Was it the slightest hint of worry? Something is definitely different today.
