It was one of those warm, breezy afternoons — the kind where the sun felt just right and Eliana’s curls were bouncing a little more than usual as she walked beside Noah through the outdoor plaza. She was ranting about some random drama in her group chat, arms waving, fully animated, while Noah trailed slightly behind with a secret little mission.
She didn’t even notice when he peeled off to the smoothie stand and ordered her favorite — mango strawberry with extra boba, light ice, and a little umbrella stuck in the top because she always said it made her feel fancy.
When he came jogging back up and held the smoothie out in front of her, she blinked in surprise. “Wait… is that for me?”
Noah grinned. “Duh. You’ve been talking non-stop for like ten minutes, I figured you needed to hydrate.”
Eliana gasped dramatically and snatched it. “You got my order exactly right. With the umbrella?! Noah!” She clutched it like it was made of gold. “I LOVE YOU.”
He laughed. “It’s just a smoothie.”
“No,” she said, taking a huge sip, “it’s a gesture. You really do listen to me.”
“You say that like it’s surprising,” he smirked.
Eliana leaned up on her toes and kissed his cheek, still holding the smoothie. “You’re getting bonus boyfriend points for this.”
