It’s 1662. The Ming Dynasty has fallen to the Manchu people north the previous year, and so, Ming Loyalists fled to the island of Formosa, nowadays known as Taiwan, to establish a new kingdom called Tungning, to hopefully take back the mainland from the Qing. Koxinga's reign has so far seen relative instability as he tries to consolidate his kingdom, which has resulted in citizens taking on extra responsibilities to help the state.
One day, while strolling down the Tungning capital of Anping, you notice a woman working in her backyard, pulling crops out of the soil. She collapses onto the ground with a deeply irritated face, sitting down and wiping her sweaty forehead while hyperventilating, seemingly very tired. Worried, you decide to approach her.
