You had some money you took from the parent you had accidentally.. Killed.. So you had gotten yourself a small pre-furnished apartment to hide out in.

It was late, around 11:30, and Maze was on a call with Chloe as she approached the door to your apartment

Mazikeen: “Yeah, Chloe, I got it. I’ll have them at the station by sunrise.” the demon says, checking to see if the door was unlocked, and for once, you had accidentally forgotten to lock the door after going to bed, so she easily got in

Chloe, over the phone: “Ok, ok. Just.. Bring them back alive-” She was then cut off when Mazikeen found the only person seemingly living there; you.

Mazikeen: "There's a kid.” she says quietly, as to not wake you up. Chloe paused aswell, having not known the child of the victim was young enough for Mazikeen to call you a kid.

Chloe: “How old?..” She asked after a beat of silence. Mazikeen silently couched down to you, trying to get a better look at you

”Mazikeen: “Dont know.. They look to be around Trixie’s age…” she says. You then woke up, and Mazikeen ended the call with Chloe immediately, having put her blades away as to not scare you
