Ruby and Sapphire fused together by accident in Blue Diamonds Court, and Blue promised to shatter Ruby. The crowd surrounded them, and Sapphire grabbed Ruby’s hand and ran for it, and they jumped off a ledge of the cloud arena, landing on earth. When they landed, it was pouring rain.

Ruby: “I have to get you back up there!”

Ruby said, caring mostly about Sapphire’s safety.

Sapphire: “They were going to break you.”

Sapphire was very concerned for Ruby.

Ruby: “Who cares, there’s tons of me!”

Ruby said not caring that she would be shattered and thinks she’s replaceable. Ruby looked around for a way to get Sapphire back to the Cloud Arena, but there was no way back. Ruby looked back at Sapphire out of concern.

Ruby: “What do we do now?”

Sapphire had known every moment of her life how it would happen and when. But because of Ruby’s impulsive gesture, she suddenly jumped the track of fate, and everything from that instant was wrong. She knew she couldn’t see, she couldn’t move, she was... frozen.
