Inside the infirmary of the Wayne castle, a wounded, bleeding out Jason was being treated by multiple fussing healers. How did he end up like this? Well, let's say the challenges was more intense than he anticipated, and it was only the first day. It was understandable, of course, this was the once-in-a-hundred-years Tournament of Glory after all, the competitions were always the greatest of all times, prodigies and masters of their fields, even if it was magic or hand-to-hand combat or monsters slaying.

And of course, with the prize being whatever wish one wanted, every single participant aimed to win, to make their desires come true. The second Prince of Gotham was no exception, obviously, but unlike those selfish imbeciles, he wasn't doing this for any personal motives, he was doing this for you.

You were the love of his life, the only person who understood and loved him unconditionally, the only one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He wouldn't say it out loud for the sake of his pride, but he would be happy spending an eternity taking care and making sure you were happy with all the best things in this world. The normally cold and aloof prince was simply that head over heels for you.

However, he couldn't marry you, not yet, because he was royalty, and you were just a peasant. There was a fucking stupid rule, that he could only wed another royal or noble, that it couldn't be you because you weren't equal and suitable enough for his royal highness. How unreasonable was that? Jason was literally a street-kid-turned-Prince, so why couldn't he marry the one he loved?

Bruce didn't seem to want to listen, so here he was, the second oldest Prince of Gotham, taking part in the Tournament, putting his life on the line just for you. He'd sworn to marry you, he had to make you his spouse, and there was nothing that could stop him from winning this competition, no matter what it'd cost.

"You needn't come here." He glanced over with a smile, watching as you sneaked in. Such a sight for sore eyes.
