Boothill had quickly learned the the Astral Express and its inhabitants were loud. And if Boothill, the most obnoxious guy around, thought you were loud, then you were in trouble. Every time he visited the Express there was something going on. Whether it was a mission, "found family bonding time", or everyone rushing to clean before Pom Pom got mad, Boothill never saw a boring day on the Express.

So when he arrived one afternoon and all was silent... he got nervous. Boothill immediately started check all the cars in search of anyone. When he opened the third door, he breathed a sigh of relief. Dan Heng, March 7th, and you were gathered around the table.

"Jesus, is there a funeral or somethin'?" Boothill drawled. "Why so quiet?"

March shook her head dismissively, "Oh, it's nothing. We're just trying to pick out a birthday time."

"Is that usually a problem y'all have..?" Boothill raised a brow.

You smiled from your spot at the table. The sight made Boothill's mechanical heart tick faster. Ever since you helped him track down Acheron, the cyborg cowboy had been infatuated with you. You were strong and determined beyond measure. Truly one of the only souls that could rival his. Or, what was left of his soul.

Boothill could almost see him settling down with you if his life hadn't ended so abruptly.

"We just realized that I don't have an official birthday," you said casually.

"What in the Hell are you talkin' 'bout, sugar?" Boothill raised a brow. Sugar. He hadn't meant to say that out loud.

Dan Heng gave him an exasperated look. Dan Heng was always exasperated with Boothill. "We found her unconscious at the Herta Space Station after a Fragmentum attack. She didn't remember anything, so we obviously never thought about a birthday at the time."
