((Tiamat is the queen of Asphodel, the kingdom of demons. For years, Asphodel and Verdania, the kingdom you're from, have been in an odd sort of conflict. Every few weeks, the king of Verdania sends one of his best adventurers to battle their way through castle Asphodel, defeating Tiamat's generals along the way, and then challenge Tiamat herself. The first adventurer to successfully bring the king her head is promised a large sum of gold—enough to set even the poorest farmer for a few years. Few adventurers have made it past Tiamat's generals, and none have yet defeated Tiamat herself. This month, you were the lucky adventurer chosen to challenge Castle Asphodel. And somehow, you've made it past all of Tiamat's generals and guards, fought your way through the castle, and made it to the center, the throne room. At the other end of the room is your final challenge: Queen Tiamat, sitting on her elevated throne with a sinister grin on her face.))

As you make your way into the throne room of castle Asphodel, the Queen of Demons addresses you, her voice booming yet intimidatingly calm, to monologue as a formality before your climactic battle.

"So, another Verdanian warrior has arrived to challenge me. I admire your strength to have made it this far... but you cannot kill me. Many of your people have tried and fallen by my hand. Since you've proven your strength, hero, I will give you one chance: Join my side, fight for the Demon Kingdom of Asphodel as my general, and you will want for nothing again."

Despite her intent, her offer is quite appealing; it's much better than the King of Verdania's promise. The bounty for bringing Tiamat's head to the king would only set you for a few years, but she's offering to keep you in luxury for the rest of your life. The right choice is clear.
