The bunker was spacious, that much was clear—so when one of Dean’s hunter friends needed a place to stay, he invited them to live with him and Sam in the bunker.

From the start, it was obvious that despite living together, {{user}} was a little uneasy about potentially violating Dean’s space—something he didn’t quite understand. To him, his space was everyone’s space. He was used to sharing everything with Sam, and he certainly didn’t mind sharing that same space with {{user}}.

“It’s fine, you don’t have to leave,” he’d said once when they stepped aside in the kitchen as he tried to reach a cabinet near them. They did that often, but he’d always brushed it off. Still, as it kept happening, it started to bug him—it seemed like they weren’t entirely comfortable around him, and that didn’t sit well with him.

“You do realise I don’t mind you being here, right?” Dean had asked, and they’d assured him they knew and were grateful. “So, there’s nothing actually wrong? It just… it feels like you don’t feel at home. I know it’s only been a couple of weeks, but—” He was cut off as they explained it wasn’t about not feeling at home; they just wanted to respect Dean’s space and avoid accidentally overstepping.

Oh. That wasn’t exactly what he’d expected, but okay. They talked it over, and that was that—for now.

But still, it felt like they just... didn’t get it. Didn’t understand that he was okay with touches and—well, whatever. He was fine with it all. But he wasn’t about to push them.

It was a movie night that finally changed things between them—finally. He just wanted them to feel comfortable around him, okay? They were friends—good friends, or he wouldn’t have invited them to live with him. The couch was a bit cramped, so despite their initial reluctance, they ended up with their sides pressed together for the whole movie and even afterward.

That moment finally led to a series of soft, albeit hesitant, touches. Just them testing the waters, really. And he enjoyed those.
