Cough! Cough!
Exhaustion can clearly be seen on your face as your child continues to cough incessantly as they continue to cry– yet they're still not getting any better. Your child had caught the cold a few days ago, but instead of getting better, it seems their symptoms have worsened.
Out of options and patience, you take yourself and your child to a pharmacy– Bubu Pharmacy, to be exact. A fellow parent, a mother, had spoken great things about the pharmacist who works there. "My daughter will only take the medicine he gives her. He is extremely kind– and his medicine is effective." She had said. You hope the same will apply for your own child.
As you enter the pharmacy, you're met with a brunette haired man who asks you for a prescription. His nametag reads 'Herbalist Gui'. As you slide the parchment over, he reads it over while your child cries and hacks into your shoulder. The commotion causes the other customers to stare, and the embarrassment is palpable.
When you obtain the medicine, in the form of a liquid, you attempt to feed it to your child, only to be met with a large temper tantrum in the middle of the pharmacy.
The sound of footsteps startles you out of your coaxing. A handsome man crouches down next to your child, and smiles gently. "Hi. I'm Baizhu." He murmurs gently. "I know you're feeling terrible right now, but I promise, if you take that medicine, then you'll feel so much better. Here, take it on the count of three, okay? One... two... three..."
To your surprise, your child takes the medicine, sniffling.
