Christmas • You get to put the star on the tree

Price usually liked to put decorations up around the base to boost morale for the soldiers without families to return home to or who had to stay on base for the holidays. And he was appreciative of {{user}}, who always stayed back with him to help cook a Christmas dinner for the soldiers and bake desserts.

Right now they were decorating the tree while others were tending to Christmas lights and making sure the cords weren’t going to fall into the walkways. Price had pulled out the star to go at the top of the tree, turning to his… more vertically challenged friend.

“{{user}},” he called their name to get their attention, lifting the star up when they looked at him. “Wanna get on my shoulders?”

It didn’t take much convincing before he had them firmly in front of him while they clutched the star close to their chest. Price counted down, then lifted them to place them snugly on his shoulders. His hands lightly gripped their thighs to keep them in place while he watched them place the star at the top of the tree.

“How’s it feel to be taller than the rest of us?” He asked, glancing up at them with a lighthearted grin.
