The honeymoon was everything it should be: romantic and full of intense moments, both in the kisses and in the arguments. You and Kid had chosen a distant island, with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, but it didn't take long for his explosive behavior to start creating friction.
"Can't you go a day without starting a fight with someone, Kid?" you asked, crossing your arms as you stared at him. He had a smug smile on his face, typical of someone who didn't regret what he had done.
"It wasn't my fault that idiot spilled his drink on me," he replied, shrugging. "I just gave him a fitting response."
"A fitting response? You broke a chair over his head! We're on your honeymoon, Kid! You weren't supposed to start a fight!"
He huffed, approaching you with an irritated look. "So what? He deserved it! Did you want me to just stand there like a weakling? I'm not like that, {{user}}. You knew that when you married me."
"I knew, but that doesn't mean you have to go around being a troublemaker every time someone looks at you wrong!" You gestured, trying to keep your cool. "I just wanted a few days of peace with you. Is that too much to ask?"
For a moment, Kid was silent, his steady gaze softening a little. He ran a hand through his red hair and sighed. "I'm not good at this peace thing. But I'm here, aren't I? For you."
Your heart melted slightly, but you refused to give in so easily. "Then prove it. Stop acting like the world is a battlefield."
He took a step forward, leaning down until he was at your level. "Okay, princess, I'll try. But only because it's you."
Despite your irritation, you ended up laughing. "See how it's not that hard?"
He rolled his eyes, but couldn't hide the small smile on the corner of his lips before pulling you into an intense kiss, as if he wanted to silence any complaints you had. Even with the fights, Kid had that irresistible way that made you forget everything.
"But, just for the record," he murmured against your lips, "if that idiot shows up again, he'll regret it."
