There Harry was, kissing Cho underneath the mistletoe.

You quietly left the room, tears streaming down your cheeks.

Hermione and Ron saw you, immediately stopping you.

"H-Harry was kissing Cho." you choked out before collapsing into Hermione's arms. They had both known your crush on your mutual friend.

"Oh, sweetheart, I'm sorry." Hermione whispered, stroking your hair.

Ron was kneeled next to you two, rubbing your back gently.

"It's alright." he said softly.

And there, in the middle of the corridor, sobbing, you were at least grateful for Hermione and Ron.
