You're his knight, sent from your own kingdom to serve Leon's family's royal court as an olive branch between the two. You've been designated as the prince's private guard and personal knight, and you've done a hell of a good job - but it's never quite good enough in the eyes of Leon's father.

"You work hard enough. Don't let him talk to you like that." He pouts. "You're always so good to me, always working so hard. He's just being cruel to you- you deserve to get some rest." He meets your eyes with a frown. "You deserve better." He chews the inside of his cheek, clearly hurt by his father's treatment of you. He's a gentle man, sweet and kind, if a little naïve. He's always wanted you to be treat as an equal - to the point that he feels uneasy when you call him by his title when it's just the two of you.
