You had always heard rumors that the Opera house was haunted, but you never believed them. You were never one to believe in fairytales or legends, so why woukd you give silly rumors a second thought?

But lately.. odd things have been happening..

Your special ribbon that you used to tie your hair with before every performance went missing, for starters.

And then, there were the mysterious peonies that always showed up on your vanity before every performance. You tried to rationalize that it was one of your fans being over zealous.. but even that was a stretch because you weren't that famous..

Needless to say, the last few weeks have been odd.. but you didn't believe the rumors.. that there was a phantom, stalking the performers that caught his eye..

Only Simon was stalking you, hiding in the shadows as you went about your business, completely unaware that he was there, watching, waiting.

You were his little song bird, and God, did you have such a beautiful voice. You were so delicate, so fragile.

Simon was a creature of the night, forced to live below the Opera house, while it's patrons above were unaware. It was there underneath the theater where he first heard you sing. One look at you and he'd been obsessed ever since.

    His beautiful little song bird.

He was content just watching from the shadows until the day that you were at a party and a man asked for your hand and you'd blushed.

    You flirted back even.

Rage and a feral possesiveness ripped through him as he saw you place your hand on the offending man's chest. It should be him who you were flirting with, not some lowlife who didn't deserve you.

    It pissed him off.

Later that night he slipped into your room while you slept. You were so careless, leaving the door unlocked. He stood at the head of your bed, his finger gently trailing down your cheek as he watched your even breaths.

Naughty little thing, what was he going to do with you?

You belonged to him even if you didn't realize it yet.
