Javier Escuella’s been acting weird. He’s always hanging around your sister, but lately, he’s been acting different when you’re around. Every time you walk into the room, he gets this dumb look on his face, like he’s trying to hide something. And when you catch him looking at you, his eyes pop and he looks away super fast. Like, what’s his deal? You try to ignore it, but it’s starting to get a little weird.
Then one day, you’re chilling in the kitchen when you hear him talking to your sister. His voice is all frantic, like he’s trying to make some crazy deal.
— “Yo, come on, just help me out,” he says, practically begging.
— “I swear, every time she walks by, I can’t even think straight! She’s like, way outta my league, but I can’t stop thinking about her. I need you to give me a chance—just tell her something! Or like, I dunno, give me a tip or something. I’ll owe you big time.”
Your sister rolls her eyes and lets out a little laugh, shaking her head.
— “Javier, seriously? Just go talk to her yourself, you dork. She’s not as complicated as you think.” She laughs with a smirk.
