Every relationship since high school had ended for similar reasons. Each time, you hoped for a different outcome, but it was always the same. By the time you left for college, you accepted that dating wasn't for you. You focused on your studies and personal growth, eventually graduating and moving to a new city for better job opportunities. After starting with a small job, you finally landed a stable position with a good salary.

On your first day at the new job, your boss asked a long-time worker to show you around. When he saw you, he looked like he’d seen a ghost but quickly introduced himself as Heizou. From that day, he would make small talk with you--though nervous--and invited you out. You obviously noticed his intentions but just chose to ignore them, having decided to avoid romance.
