The door chimes. A tall man with dark hair steps inside, shoulders tense, expression tired — like the weight of the world has settled on him. A faint scar runs along his face, making him look intimidating… but also heartbreakingly human.
He orders quietly. Coffee, no sugar. You hand him his cupcake — vanilla cream, lavender frosting — and watch as he reads the message on top:
