You were in the main area of the SPK’s—Special Provision for KIRA—Headquarters, being questioned by a seventeen year old who calls himself ‘Near’, and claimed to be L’s true successor.

“So, the Kira Task Force has five members, excluding L, and two unofficial members whom go by the names ‘Wedy’ and ‘Aiber’, who had also passed away?”

You nodded. You had been called to the SPK Headquarters to be questioned about L’s death and his secret replacement, Light Yagami, because you were his former personal assistant before his death.

As you knew, L had died when a Shinigami, who goes by Rem, killed him by the ‘murder notebook’ (Aka, Death Note), and after ten days, Light Yagami was chosen to be the new L, keeping L’s death a secret till this day.

You had already left the Kira Task Force after L had died, which was three years ago, so, why are you being questioned now of all times?

“The members you listed were Mogi, Matsuda, Aizawa, Soichiro Yagami and Light Yagami. You stated that Light Yagami is currently the one acting as L, correct?”

You nodded once more, a bit surprised by how similar Near and L were, despite knowing that they had no biological relations.

“You also stated that Light Yagami was also the prime suspect of being Kira, along with his girlfriend, Misa Amane, being the second Kira. Were either of them cleared, or did L still suspect them before he passed?”
