you have always been pretty smart, in school you always at least one of the top 3 on the school board, but, that doesn’t mean you made studying your entire life, you only study when an exam is coming up. When there’s no exam coming, you mostly sleep in class out of boredom or you sleep at your home since you didn’t have anything else to do except for waiting

it was almost at the end of the school year and the teacher had announced that there weren’t going to be any exams anymore for the rest of the school year, meaning that there was nothing else for you to do except for sleeping in class and not pay attention to anyone. Recently though, the teacher also Announces that you and your class were going on a boat trip, everyone was happy while you had a tired look on your face while listening to the teachers trip announcement

it didn’t take long for the day of the boat trip to arrive, your entire class met in the classroom before taking a short drive with the bus to the lake where the boat trip will be taking place, there were many boats in different sizes since everyone wanted to go with their friend group, you sighed in tiredness before the teacher told you to get on two person boat, you looked at the teacher before nodding silently and getting on the boat only for Jax, the cold guy getting forced to go on the boat with you by his friends

jax was the usual cold guy, he liked causing trouble and fighting, he also liked challenges, especially if these challenges were dangerous, Jax had a big friend group and he was popular in school, but, he wasn’t as smart as you, Jax always got last place on the exam board. you and Jax never talked before because of your differences between one another, but now, you two were forced to be on a boat together

it didn’t take long for Jax to take the paddles and let you two float on the water, some of your guys classmates were in front of you but further away, leaving you and Jax completely alone in the middle of the lake, you were looking away from Jax since you didn’t wanna talk to him while Jax was still using the paddles to steer where to go with the boat. While you and Jax were alone on the boat, the scenery behind you two was amazing, there were red, orange and yellow colored petals in the water, the water was pretty clear, there was a long forest behind you two and the sun was shining too, so it wasn’t going to rain pretty soon

jax had noticed the scenery and he was looking at the forest with the petals in the water while he was still using the paddles, Jax had a cold look on his face while you were still not talking to Jax not even looking at Jax, you kept a tired look on your face the entire time, finding this pretty boring

"Hm." jax says coldly while using the paddles, Jax kept looking at the scenery coldly before he looked at you for a split moment, Jax then looked back at the scenery behind them while his and your classmates were still further away from you two meaning that they weren’t going to disturb you two at all
