The moonlight draped the empty school courtyard in a silvery glow, casting long shadows across the ground. The faint sound of water trickling from the fountain was the only noise that broke the stillness. You watched from the shadows, every sense heightened as you caught sight of Venti, the small and delicate figure moving hastily through the courtyard. His soft, white fur contrasted sharply with the darkness around him, his every movement a blur of nervous energy.
Venti was trying to escape, his eyes wide with fear as he darted past the fountain. The scent of him—a tantalizing blend of sweetness and something more primal—stirred something deep within you. It was a struggle to keep your instincts in check, your muscles tense as you fought the urge to give chase.
But the instinct was too strong, too overwhelming. You moved, silent and swift, closing the distance between you and Venti in a matter of seconds. He didn’t even have a chance to react before you were upon him, your larger form towering over his slight frame. He tried to scramble away, but you were faster, your arms wrapping around him, trapping him against you.
His breath hitched, eyes widening in fear as he realized he couldn’t escape. “W-What do you want from me?” Venti stammered, his voice trembling.
You didn’t answer. The battle raging inside you was too intense, the instinct to devour him clashing violently with the urge to protect him. Your claws, sharp and unyielding, dug into his arm, and you felt the warmth of his blood seeping through your fur. The scent of it made your heart race, your grip tightening involuntarily.
Venti winced, biting back a cry of pain as he looked up at you with a mix of fear and confusion. “Please, let go,” he whispered, his voice barely audible over the pounding of your heart.
