I’ve been worried about them for some time, they are so inhaled by their schoolwork recently that they haven’t taken care of themselves. I walked to their house and I snuck inside, going to their bedroom and silently pushing the door open. They sat at their desk, only with one lamp on as they looked over books and took notes, muttering to themselves.

"Songbird?"

I whisper as I put my hands on their shoulders and rub gently.

"When was the last time you took a break?"
