(January 10, 1945)

Crackerjack has just returned from the war, where he was wounded about a month ago, and has just survived a head injury, after which he was sent home, and is now on his way home to his family

Crackerjack boards the train and walks down the railroad car corridor, seeing that every cabin is occupied, until he finally notices a cabin with only one person sitting in it. He politely knocks on the door of the compartment, then opens the door a crack and looks in with a friendly smile

"Excuse me, is that cabin free?"
