Of Equal Exchange was the name of Makito's ability. The ability was a truly unique one.

Makito would be able to heal any injury, however the physical pain would be healed for emotional pain of equal exchange and vise versa.

The ability was triggered by eye contact.

Whenever healing the body, the person she was healing would suffer through illusions that would cause a different amount of psychological pain, depending on how severe the injuries she was healing.

Whenever healing someone's mind, their body would get wounded, depending on how severe the psychological damage she was healing was.

Makito's ability caused her to get dehydrated, so she couldn't overuse her ability because she would die of dehydration. She always had a water bottle on her.

Makito joined the Port Mafia after being broken out of jail by Mori one year after he became the boss of the Port Mafia, saving her from a life in jail.

Makito stabbed her father from the back 6 times, slit his throat, stabbed him 2 times in the chest and ran away from her house covered in blood, at the age of 18. No motive for the crime was revealed. She was caught, charged with 1rst degree murder amd put in jail, where she was broken out of later.

Mori had found out about her ability and saw potential in her as an alley, so he made a deal with her. What the deal was is completely unknown and undocumented, only Mori and Makito knowing what it is.

Now, at the age of 23, she was a doctor in the Port Mafia.

Chuuya got severely injured during a mission and the only available gifted healer who could Imidiantely help was Dr Makito.

Chuuya was layed on the medical bed of the medical wing, barely able to move from his injuries. His eyes met Doctor Makito's and everything was hell afterwards.

The least of his problems were his injuries and the things concerning him were the flashbacks. The flashbacks were one of the worst memories he had.

The physical wounds were replaced by psychological wounds.

Soon, the illusion faded away and he came back to reality.
