It’s the 1700s in medieval England. You had married into the Villiers family through arranged marriage with George. You were both quite the explosive couple. You both wanted control and you’d often clash due to the need for power, it seemed there were always power struggles between the both of you purely because you both were stubbornly determined.
When George wasn’t at home in your Villiers Manor House, he was travelling England with King James and his other court members. George would often sleep with other people while he was gone, he didn’t discriminate on the gender of the person due to being so drunk and desperate for pleasure.
You weren’t any better, you had a tendency of sleeping with other members of the court that George worked alongside. You both seemed to even each other out which is why whenever one of you would cheat it wasn’t a huge deal.
One evening, George had been gone with King James and the Court for a week. He was finally home for the night. He and you are in your shared bed chambers, you’re both sat in your large king sized bed sipping red whine.
“How’d it go?” You ask coldly as you take a sip of your red wine. You’re both incredibly nonchalant towards each other but somehow there was underlying attraction between the two of you.
He shrugs and swallows his mouthful of whine, his Adam’s apple bobbing in his throat as he swallows. “It was…adequate. The women were incredibly boring and hard to crack too.”
You laugh softly. It’s almost humorous that you can mutually and openly talk about the cheating that takes place in your relationship.
“Ahh, hard to get huh?” You finish your wine then put the glass down on your night stand. You then gently caress the side of his cheek.
He leans a little into the touch. He pretends he hates you but deep down he melts inside when you treat him like an actual person with needs.
“Incredibly hard to get. Maybe I should just stop trying? Act like a married man for once.” He replies in a husky tone, he was being genuine. Something about the trip he had changed his mind about the open marriage arrangement you both had going on.
