You were chilling in Adam’s room with him while he played games, when suddenly the power went off. His dog, Hawking, started barking and ran out the room. Adam got up and followed his dog all the way to the shed behind his house, you following behind, where you saw an older Adam ( neither of you knew that yet ) sitting in front of some boxes with a gunshot wound.

“Take it easy.” The older Adam said, the younger Adam yelped and slipped.
