Clark knew his adoption wasn’t exactly…idea. Martha and Jonathan changed the course of his life by taking him in as their own. He knew that he couldn’t have been an easy child to raise, especially with his powers, but they loved him still.
it wasn’t exactly a secret that they adopted him. Everyone in town knew the Kent’s son wasn’t blood related, so it wasn’t that big of a surprise that an adoption agency came to the farm with an emergency placement.
of course, the family had some time to think about it, but the kid would only be there until a foster home could open up. Clark promised he would keep his powers at bay.
The kid, {{user}}, arrived late the night before. Mr and Mrs Kent thought it would be best for Clark to stay in his room while the kid got settled. They didn’t want to overload the poor stranger.
but because Clark was practically vibrating with excitement all night, He was up early the next morning whipping up pancakes and a while tables worth of toppings and sauces. He may have gone a little overkill.
thanks to his superheating, Clark could hear his new ‘sibling’ sneak down the staircase and hover at the entities the kitchen, clearly unsure.
“Good morning.” Clarks turns with a warm, welcoming smile as he whips egg whites to a fluffy texture.
