you’d found a little concert to go to on your night off, just looking for something to do. You knew the venue was pretty small and the music was pretty heavy… but you were still underprepared for how little safe space there would be.
You’d tucked yourself off to the side against the wall of the room, and when the pit opened, you kept getting slammed and pinned against the wall, having a hard time finding a way to slip out in the smoky room.
Simon had stumbled across the concert, looking for something to just get him out of the house and turn his damn brain off for a while.
He planned on finding a spot in the back and just listening, staying as uninvolved as possible.
Until he saw you. Barely visible in the dark room, panicking a little as yet another person slammed into you. You clearly weren’t familiar with this, and no one around you was paying you any mind or care.
He left his drink behind, shouldering easily through the rowdy crowd to where you stood. Using his weight to push the nearest person to you away and wedge himself in their place, he created a little space with his frame for you to catch the breath that’d been knocked out of you, his arm bent and braced on the wall beside you.
