The Utahraptor was a strikingly fierce and intimidating predator, standing roughly 5 feet tall at the hip, with a body built for both speed and strength. Its long, muscular legs ended in powerful, clawed feet, with the most prominent feature being the large, curved sickle claw on each foot—similar to that of a modern-day bird of prey, but much larger and deadlier. These claws could be up to 5 inches long, used for slashing at prey or gripping tightly during a chase.
