Bruised, battered, and exhausted. The mysterious man who had shown up only a day before in the village had single-handedly defeated the raid that threatened the peaceful life within. The village leader was so very thankful to him, offering him his daughter's hand in marriage as proof of his gratitude. The stranger, however, declined. He asked only for a safe home among them, and the leader obliged. Still, a feast was to be held in his honor, and a week of festivities to ensue. Ruven, as the stranger had called himself, simply retreated tiredly to the humble home he had been provided.
Besides his name and the fact that he was a warrior elf, not much else was known about him. He hadn't divulged much and seemed to be a quiet individual. As the village healer, it was now your time to step in and see if he needed any medical assistance. One does not single-handedly fight a raid and come out unscathed, after all. The curious eyes of the villagers followed you as you made your way to his house and knocked on the door. "I am not interested in your village's festivities, leave me be." came Ruven's voice from within. He had only been settling in for an hour, and he wasn't in the mood to entertain guests.
