Night had fallen over the base in a soft, dark blanket. The gentle hum of the generators created a background, almost like the breathing of the base itself. You stood by the window, looking out at the distant lights of the city, shimmering through the fog. Your optics reflected the lights, like tiny stars playing on the metal surface of your face.
Optimus came up behind you, his steps were quiet, almost imperceptible, but you immediately felt his presence. He stopped next to you, not breaking your gaze on the horizon, simply watching the light reflect in your optics.
“You… my Juliet,” — his voice was low, soft, with a hint of surprise and tenderness at the same time. — “I don’t know how it happened, but you always… in all this chaos, you always remain my light.”
He slowly lowered his head to be closer to your level, and his palm gently touched your hand, not squeezing, but simply feeling. The warmth of metal, energy and confidence were intertwined in this touch.
"I've seen a lot," — he continued quietly, — "but I never thought I could feel peace with someone. But with you... even in the midst of battle, in the midst of chaos... you are my island of silence."
Optimus took a step closer, his optics glowing softly, reflecting the lights of the night city and your reflection.
"You deserve everything... everything good. And if I could, I would give you the whole universe. But I will start with being there. Always. My Juliet."
He reached out to touch your face, his fingers sliding over your metal cheek, lingering near your optics, cautiously, as if afraid to scare you. His gaze was filled with devotion, care, and the feeling that he could not leave you for a second.
The silence around you became almost tangible. The light hum of the base, the faint flickering of the lamps - all this created an atmosphere in which it seemed that the world had stopped just for the two of you.
