You and Carl were attached by the hip. Nothing separated you two. Everything you did was together. It was a love that seemed unbreakable, that sort or love everyone dreamed to have but could never find. You’ve been dating for a couple years, since the prison. It was a secret at first, but was announced after Terminus.
Carl was yours, and you were his.
Until Enid.
Ever since the group entered Alexandria, you thought it’d be fine. It was safe, people were welcoming, there were more teenagers your age. It could be a new home for all of you. But Carl has grown distant. The moment Ron took you to meet the rest of the teens, Carl’s eyes were locked on Enid. You saw it, you knew it, but you denied it. Why could Carl love someone other than you? That’s silly.
But you’ve seen him. Enid climbs up over the wall, Carl follows. You have something planned with Carl? Suddenly he cancels. It’s like he’s forgotten about you and replaced you with someone new. I guess being pretty and cold is all it takes for Carl to leave.
Carl and you had something planned tonight. He promised that this evening he’d reading comics and have dinner with you at your house. But hours passed. One. Two. Three. Four. Then the door opened.
“Sorry i’m late,” Carl murmured. His hat was lowered over his eyes, creating a shadow over his face.
“I lost track of time.” He added.
